Why partner with the AUSortium?
Who are we?
The AUSortium was founded in 2007 by Opentec in response to the need to create and maintain signiifcant native capability IN ADDITION to local content, in the areas of computer centric warfare and security, and secure wireless internetworking.
Today, the core members of the AUSortium, and our core competencies, include:
- Opentec Solutions (based in Sydney)
Military Rugged portable computers and computer-based solutions; and ruggedised embedded systems.
- MicroSecure Corporation (based in Melbourne)
Deployable, secure, wireless internetworking
- DESA (based in Melbourne)
Data & Electrical Services Australia (DESA) delivers Australia-wide contracted site infrastructure design and installation services.
- Affiliates
Companies as diverse as Ultra Electronics (UK) and CISCO (USA) have confirmed teaming agreements with AUSortium members to deliver solutions to the Australian Defence Forces, covering a range of computer-centric and deployed systems. Ultra specialises in network traffic management, sophisticated packet routing and priority demand systems, and niche peripherals such as ballistics detectors; while CICSO addresses over-arching netwoking and network management capabilities.
Why are we unique?
In 2010, based on the individual and collective capabilities of the AUSortium teaming members, the collective was granted the right by the Australian Department of Defence (DoD) to be engaged as a Prime Contractor on critical defence projects, where our unique integration and engineering capabilities were deemed critical to the ongoing success of core security and defence projects.
This was formal recognition of our native competencies and our proven, on-going (10-year-plus) active engagement with the DoD in support of nation security interests.
We deliver a wealth of technology AND capability
Rather than creating discrete branded solutions, our approach has been to deliver 'vendor agnostic' integration capabilities that bridge the gap between 'vendor-specific' solutions from the world's largest defence Prime Contractors, and the unique needs of Australian defence and security forces who require that core intellectual property (IP) is developed and managed locally.
The AUSortium: Delivering solutions that keep you leaps ahead!
