Since 1999, Opentec has supplied rugged notebooks computers that meet the very stringent MIL-STD461E "Ground Army" electro-magnetic immunity and emissions requirements specified by the Australian Army for electronic warfare applications, where ultra-low EM circuitry is an absolute must to ensure data integrity (ie by preventing electronic eavesdropping) and detection of electronics via their EM signature.
In 2006, as part of a major upgrade of strategic first-line-of-defence systems, Opentec products were again rigorously reviewed and again selected by the Australian Defence Forces.
