New Core 2 Duo tablets now also with 12.1" screens:
Hot on the heals of the new Series 5 notebook range are our new 12.1" Industrial grade ('-I') and Defence grade ('-M') Intel Core 2 Duo powered tablets.
The upgraded Series 5 RPTs (Rugged Portable Tablets) are available with either a small-form-factor 8.4" LCD, as well as the larger 12.1" LCD. All models have resistive touchscreens, as well as optional Mil-Std 461E ultra-low emission electronics packs and Mil-spec connectors.
The 12" model features the same heavy duty, robust Magnesium alloy housing and compartmentalised design, with removable battery and hard drive. Like its smaller brother, it also has an optional docking station/port expander, which is ideal for desktop or in-vehicle applications.
New features include:
- Daylight readable XGA screen with adjustable brightness
- LED backlighting for added reliability and device longevity
- Faster (read/write) SATA removable HDDs (up to 160GB capacity)
- DDR2 RAM (for faster access)
