Recent independent testing by Australian Army project groups has again confirmed that our RPC Series 'Super Rugged' notebooks lead the way in EMC performance, making them ideal for electronic warfare (EW) applications. Now, a new enhancement to our RPT 8-M Super Rugged 8.4" Tablets and RPC 15-M Super Rugged 15" Notebooks, comprising a mesh shield embedded into the touch overlay, makes these models the best performing MOTS grade tablets and notebooks on the Australian market, when it comes to low EM (electromagnetic) emissions.
While aimed at military applications involving secure data storage and communication, it's also relevant to industrial applications where computers are required to operate in high background EM fields, such as around power generation and transmission equipment.
This enhancement also highlights one of the fundamental differences between Opentec and other products: the level of application-specific engineering brought to bear to ensure optimal outcomes for discerning portable computer users, where an off-the-shelf commercial grade product simply won't cut the mustard.
