THE NEW Openfire '19"/2 System' delivers 'Network-In-A-Box' capabilities for forces on the move; who need durability and performance in a small form factor; and who need a complete computer + local networking capability, not just a stand alone rugged computer.

Comprising 1RU (44mm) high by 'half 19" width' (220mm) components that can be vehicle or portable rack mounted, it's as simple as selecting the components you need and bolting them together. Designed by Login of Sweden, Opentec's Openfire variant can be Type 1, FIPS140 and Suite B enabled to meet the ADF's DSD and CIO requirements for battlefield deployment.

Coupled with our rugged portable notebooks, tablets or PDAs via wired or wireless backplanes, instant portable networking just got a whole lot easier!

Openfire '19/2 System' Building Blocks

  1RU LAN Server

     

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' Server offers a 1.66GHz Core 2 Duo CPU, 4Gb of DDRII RAM and a range of LAN connectivity ports in a 1RU half width chassis that weighs only 3kg. For portable or vehicle mounted LANs, this is the ultimate solution, providing the ideal mix of compactness, features, durability and value for money.

When connected to the external '19/2' SATA RAID array, keyboard and monitor, the system provides genuine office-grade capability in a truly portable, field deployable format.

  1RU RAID Array 

   

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' RAID Array provides 4 SATA drives that can be used as standard external HDDs or with RAID enabled.

With the drives rated to operate in temperatures down to -40C and up to +55C, and in a package that weighs just 2kg (with 4 HDDs), this unit offers terabyte storage capacity for the most demanding applications.

  1RU Power Panel

   

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' Power Panel provides distribution of 10-32VDC, 10AMP/channel power to all components in a '19/2' system.

Using the same positive lock power connectors as our Mil-Spec notebooks, tablets and PDAs, it's fully ruggedised for military use.

 

  1RU UPS

   

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' UPS is suitable for 12V or 24V battery or vehicle systems, and distributes regulated 10-32VDC power to '19/2' components, or other Opentec portable computers.

 

  1RU LCD/KVM

     

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System'  LCD/KVM is a ruggedised LCD with a built in KVM (Keyboard, Video, Mouse) switch.

The unit provides switching between 2 DVI inputs and a single mouse/pointing device. When not in use, the LCD retracts into the rack enclosure.

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System'  Keyboard with integrated mouse is small form factor ruggedised unit with a USB connector. The IP54 rated unit features membrane sealed key and mouse pads.

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System'  GigaSwitch offers 14 RJ45 copper ports in a compact and fully rugged enclosure, with full 10/100/1000Base switching capability.

 

 

  1RU 14-Port FastSwitch

   

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' GigaSwitch offers 14 Mil-Spec copper ports in a compact and fully rugged enclosure, with 10/100/1000Base switching capability, using Mil-Circ 'Mighty Mouse' connectors for enhanced positive mating.

 

  1RU 6-Port Fibre Switch 

   

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System'  Fibre Switch offers 6 100BaseF fibre ports fitted with positive lock SC Duplex fibre connectors.

 

 

  1RU VoIP Router 

   

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System'  VoIP Router is an analogue router with 2 phone (RJ11) connections plus a 9-pin D-subminiature Console port, plus a copper LAN and fibre LAN interface, it's compact, robust and easy to connect.

  1RU 8-Port PoE Switch

   

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' PoE Switch supports 8x IEEE802.3af channels, delivering both power and 10/100Base data to remote devices over UTP/FTP cable. Supports any IEEE802.3af complaint remote devices.

 

  1RU DVI Video Switch

   

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' DVI Switch is used to switch between 5 possible video signals, switching them to 1 video display (eg the combo LCD/KVM switch or an external monitor). Ideal for applications where only one command terminal is required, or it is not practical t support multiple monitors (eg a cramped space in a support vehicle, or a yemprary field command centre).

 

  1RU UIDM V2

   

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' UIDM V2 is a ruggedised Innovative Concepts UIDM 2 channel stand alone tactical router for ground and air systems.

When connected to a radio it sends interoperable digital data to a variety of military assets via 1x HMC 100Mbit Fiibre and/or 2x 38999 radio interfaces. 

 

  1RU RS232 LAN Switch

   

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' Serial Switch is a software switchable RS232 module that allows sharing of serial devices on a LAN (eg Console ports of LAN switches, PABXs, satellite stations, etc).

 

  1RU RS232/422/485 Switch

   

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' Serial/Serial Bus Switch allows up to 6 RS232, RS422 or RS485 devices to be connected to a LAN and switched via software.

Ports are 9-pin D-subminiature positive lock connectors.

 

  1RU CISCO Router 

   

 

Overview

The Openfire '19/2 System' Cisco Router is based on the CISCO 3251 MAR and 3201 FESMIC, and offers both copper and fibre optic connectivity.

Rated to operate in temperatues down to -40C and up to +55C, and in a package that weighs just 2kg, this unit delivers office grade networking capability out into the field.

Designed by Swedish computer supplier Logon, the 19/2 System is currently in service with various NATO and European country national defence forces, and are tried and tested in active theatre operations.
