Opentec Jackaroo Series
'Commercial Rugged' Tablet PC

Designed for 'in factory/warehouse' or 'in vehicle' use, the 'Jackaroo' and 'Jackaroo Lite' tablets offer a choice of CPUs and connectivity that deliver real value as part of any company's mobility solutions strategy.

Product Overview

For users who don't need a 'Military Rugged' (or what we categorise as 'Super Rugged' tablet), the 10.4" Jackaroo Series are intended for 'in premises' or 'in vehicle' applications where remote connectivity is required, where a larger LCD is needed, but where space restrictions dictate a smaller footprint.

Typical applications for the 1.06GHz Core 2 Duo powered 'Jackeroo' include:

  • 'In-field' data collection
(eg GIS database development, geotagging, mapping)
  • Remote monitoring

.... or any 'thick client' application where on-board data processing requirements are heavier, and cellular (HSDPA/UMTS) connectivity is required.

Typical applications for the 1.5GHz ULV (ultra low voltage) Via Eden powered 'Jackaroo Lite' include:

  • POS (Point Of Sale)
  • Warehouse inventory management
  • machinery control

.... or any 'thin client' application where on-board data processing requirements are not very heavy, and wireless (WiFi) connectivity is required.

Both models feature all the standard features: hard drive capacities up to 320Gb; optional very-high-impact-resistant SSDs (flash drives) with up to 128Gb capacity; long life integrated (non-removable) Li Ion batteries; and optional 400NIT LED backlit LCDs for easy viewability in full summer sun.

Like the RPT tablet range, it has a fan-less Magnesium-alloy chassis that exceeds MIL-STD 810F (durability) requirements, as well as offers options such as GPS,  a DockLite vehicle docking station/port replicator, and desktop or vehicle/boat mounting systems.
