The newly released Brumby Rugged PDAs, with a choice of Windows Moble 6 or CE.net 5 operating systems, are designed to be a good all-rounder, offering a host of features as well as IP67 dust and mositure resistance for applications where high levels of airborne dust or corrosive spray are encountered.
Weighing in at 650 grams, the Brumby is based on a different design concept to the RPDA Series, using hinged shutters to protect device ports wen not in use, and with a less modular interior that integrates more options as standard (versus the RPDA that is designed to allow considerably higher levels of customisation).
The Brumby Series features a 3.7" VGA dsplay with QVGA setting (for using application software such as eforms o data entry systems), large programmable hotkeys, a joystick-style navigation pad for easier operation, a DB9 serial port, an earphone/mic jack, Bluetooth and WiFi as standard, and optional 3G phone/data and GPS.
