The newly released RPDA 6 Series Super Rugged PDAs, with a choice of Windows Mobile 6 or CE.net 5 operating systems, and an impressively rugged Magnesium Alloy chassis, look as though they should weigh a lot more than their meagre 450 grams.
These brawny little beasts, built to survive battlefield conditions, but which are just as much at home in field service or other commercial applications, are real workhorses, designed to live in the outdoors and deliver real added value to field based professionals.
The RPDA 6 Series 4" VGA LCD now features theULTRAtm'ultra-rugged' flexible glass touchscreen technology from Interelectronic, which offers superior impact and scratch resistance as well as extends the life of the touch interface 400-600%. Also featured are large programmable hotkeys, a joystick-style navigation pad for easier operation, a DB9 serial port, an earphone/mic jack, and accessories such as a flip-up screen protector, a desktop docking station, and a longer life double-thickness battery. And where else will you find a PDA that accepts not only standard, but extended length PCMCIA cards?
