Opentec 'Openfire' RmPC 5-M
Super Rugged UMPC with 5" LCD

Designed for warfighters and security forces who need the processing power of a PC, but need it in a size they can carry on their belt or their wrist.

Product Overview

The newly released RmPC 5-M Super Rugged UMPC is a 1.6GHz ATOM based ultra-miniature PC with a daylight readable LED backlit LCD, in a rugged, compact format that includes a long life battery, 2 USB ports, a serial port and even a tactical radio data interface.

Because it's a PC, you can choose from Windows XP/XP Pro, Vista, Linux, etc, as your operating system. And because it has up to 32Gb SSD (Solid State Drive) storage and 2Gb RAM, it's able to support a range of applications that no PDA can, while being the smallest handheld computer on the market, measuring in at a tiny 135mm wide by 100mm high by 50mm deep!

What makes the RmPC 5-M unique is not just its size. It features an integral docking system to which existing and future application-specific modules can be attached. Today, the RmPC 5-M can become a multi-modal biometrics device. Tomorrow it may become whatever 'future warfighters' need it to be!

If you need a flexible, powerful, battlefield deployable wrist, chest or belt mountable computer, the RmPC 5-M represents not only the most rugged device of its type, but a unique solution from a company geared towards developing custom solutions to meet the specific needs of ground, air and sea based forces.
