Opentec RPC 13 Series
Super Rugged 13.3" Notebooks

Used in roles as diverse as Australia's Land Army battlefield command system, coastal mapping (where regular exposure to salt spray is encountered), and trek management for Himalayan climbing expeditions, this is our 5th generation 'Super Rugged' notebook PC.

Product Overview

This is the product that continues to set the standard for rugged portable computing. With heavy duty Magnesium Alloy chassis that features sealed drive bays with removable, cannisterised HDDs and DVDs, a standard battery renowned for a long service life, an optonal second battery for extended operations, a sealed 100% waterproof keyboard that's so durable you can park a truck on (we did - for 4 days in fact!), and a heavy-duty screen hinge designed for years of faultless operation, the RPC 13 makes most other vendor's claims about ROI look a bit feable by comparison. If you need an item of computer equipment that will last and deliver years of field service, this is the notebook for you.

With a choice of 1.66GHz or 2.0GHz Core 2 Duo CPUs, and Windows XP Pro or Vista operating systems, it delivers everything you'd expect of a top end notebook - and it comes with a pedigree you wll be had pressed the find matched anywhere, even amongst te 'name brand' vendors.

The RPC 13 Series features a 13.3" XGA or optional SXGA LCD, optional 500NIT 'HiBrite' LCD for applications where use in full tropical or outback sun is commonplace, optional touchscreen (ideal for 'command & control' applications)

Options include a backlit keyboard, integrated GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi (note we don't supply WiFi or BT as standard as many users do not want an emitting device for security reasons), 3G/3.5 (UMTS/HSDPA), custom DVI port (in place of standard DVI), as well as additional serial (RS232 or RS422) or custom ports (space dependent).
