Portable Vehicle & Ops Centre LANs

19/2 System

The '19/2 System' delivers 'Network-In-A-Box' capabilities for forces on the move; who need durability and performance in a small form factor; and who need a complete computer local networking capability, not just a stand alone rugged computer.

The '19/2 System' is compact, robust and modular, allowing ruggedised deployable LANs to be assembled and relocated in the field in support of defence, national security or disaster relief operations.

By miniaturising the components, and ruggedising them to Military Rugged levels, the system is both more durable and more easily deployed. It's also more scalable, able to be reconfigured to suit specific needs. Better still, a LAN set up can be bulhead, desktop or portable/fixed rack mounted, depending on the applications it's deployed into.

Comprising 1RU (44mm) high by 'half 19" width' (220mm) components that can be vehicle or portable rack mounted, it's as simple as selecting the components you need and bolting them together. Designed by Login of Sweden, Opentec's Openfire variant can be Type 1, FIPS140 and Suite B enabled to meet the ADF's DSD and CIO requirements for battlefield deployment.

Coupled with our rugged portable notebooks, tablets or handhelds, via wired or wireless backplanes, instant portable networking just got a whole lot easier!
