The RPT 8-M featurs a thicker, more impact/crush resistant chassis than the RPT 8-I, together with an ULTRA 'ultra-rugged' touchscreen, along with a mil-circular power connector and mil-rugged power adapter to make it the perfect compact tablet solution for military (or other heavy duty) applications. But not only does it excel in its physical performance characterisitics, it comes with optional MIL-461E ultra-low emission electronics, making it suitable for EW applications.
With an energy efficient 1.06GHz ULV Core 2 Duo CPU, hard drive capacities up to 350Gb, optional very-high-impact-resistant SSDs (flash drives), long life, compact Li Ion battery packs, as well as an optional second (rear mounted) battery packs for extended field life, and optional 500NIT LED backlit LCDs for easy viewability in full summer sun, this is a true Mil-Rugged tablet PC in a compact format, amking it perfect for ground vehicle, aircraft or dismounted soldier deployments.
Like the RPT 8-I it features a highly modular design with options including a compact port replicator/docking station for vehicle mount applications, GPS, Bluetooth and WiFi, LCD sunshades and protective synthetic rubber sleeves.
