Some rugged notebook and tablet suppliers claim to not only have truly rugged hardware; they even make claims regarding compliance to the very stringent, and very hard to meet, MIL-STD461E emissions and immunity standard.
BEWARE! Are they offering "461 Navy" or "461E Ground Army" compliance? THEY ARE NOT THE SAME! And what sections of the 461 standard are they offering compliance to, if to "Ground Army"?

"This standard establishes interface and associated verification requirements for the control of the electromagnetic interference (emission and susceptibility) characteristics of electronic, electrical, and electro-mechanical equipment and subsystems designed or procured for use in activities and by agencies of the Department of Defence. Such equipment and subsystems may be used independently, or as an integral part of other systems or subsystems."
