When it comes to selecting a Commercial Off The Shelf (COTS) grade product, portable computers are as varied as the applications for which they're used. For applications that only ocassionally venture into the outdoors, a commercial grade (semi-ruggedised) product may suit. However, for applications that involve the computing device spending much of its time away from a benign environment, there are many issues to consider which mandate a rugged or even super-ruggedised device.
To make selecting the portable computer or PDA best suited to your needs - and your budet - easier, we've grouped our products by ruggedisation 'Classification' ('Super Rugged', 'Rugged' and 'Semi-Rugged'), 'Type' ('Notebook', 'Tablet', 'PDA' and 'Vehicle Computer') and IP Rating (IP54 to IP67). And remember, we design and build computers, and even upgrade non-ruggedised 3rd party supplied peripherals to match the ruggedisation level of the computer they're being mated with; so if your application requires a higly customised solution, simply call us.
